Wowza - class sizes of 60?! Detroit Public Schools is no stranger to bureaucratic insanity, but I will be definitely be keeping up on how this one plays out.
It's definitely sad to hear that Detroit has to do this. But 60 in a class? Perhaps the teacher can hire aides - or better yet, another teacher! Co-teach?!

ReplyDeleteI cannot even begin to imagine trying to teach an art class with 60 kids. Nor can I imagine being a kid in a classroom with 59 other kids.
